Concur Interface Changes | 4/03/2024

As of April 8th, Concur will have a refreshed look and feel, providing users the ability to select a theme. A new User Guide with the updated screens is available here.

Additionally, Travel Services solicited feedback from several constituent groups across campus to identify potential process improvements and efficiencies. Based on their feedback, we have recently implemented the following enhancements:

  • Membership & Abstract Fees – These fees may now be charged on a travel card when purchased in conjunction with a conference.
  • Prospective Students – Changes to the Travel policy are currently being noticed that will allow travel reimbursements to prospective students.
  • Travel to US Territories – Now considered “Out of State” travel rather than foreign travel. Travelers will still receive Department of State meal reimbursement rates.
  • Concur Lodging Itemization – Itemization is no longer required. It may be used if needed.
  • Concur Expense Report Header Change – The check box has been removed that previously required an answer to “Is this the Last ER for this Request?”.
  • Concur Request – Removed requirement to complete all fields within expense types on Travel Requests. These fields will remain available for those who choose to fill them out.

Travel Services continues to work on additional improvements and welcomes suggestions on ways to improve processes and reduce administrative burden. Suggestions can be emailed to travel@fsu.edu.  The additional improvements currently being worked on include:

  • Addition of a rental car billing # field that will allow booking vehicles for others within the Concur module. With this enhancement, staff will no longer have to use two systems when reserving vehicles.
  • Travel guides for specific issues – Group travel, tips for booking in Concur, Foundation vs. University Travel, etc.
  • Additional reporting for departments
  • Streamlining workflows where possible

We will continue to keep you updated as we make additional improvements.  If you have any questions or would like to provide additional feedback, please contact us at travel@fsu.edu.
