Compliance with Travel and Travel Card Policies | 3/20/2025

We have recently received numerous inquiries and observed some instances of non-compliance with our Travel and Travel Card policies.  We are requesting assistance from Travel Representatives to help us to communicate these concerns to travelers and ensure alignment across the board, please review the following important reminders:

  • Travel Card Policy: Cardholders must adhere to all policies. T-Cards are for individual use only and should not be shared or assigned to another traveler’s Concur profile. Misuse may result in suspension of the card, revocation of privileges, and/or mandatory repayment.
  • Business Class/Flight Upgrades: For FSU, "Business Class or its Equivalent" refers to Premium Economy (one class above economy/coach). Travelers are personally responsible for any upgrades that do not align with university reimbursement guidelines.
  • Travel Policy: Always remember to select the most practical and cost-effective transportation option, considering the overall cost to the university, which includes transportation, time, and per diem.
  • Booking Requirements: All airline/train tickets must be booked through Concur or the university’s Travel Management Company (TMC), Collegiate Travel Planners (CTP).

For further details, please refer to the 4-OP-D-2-D Travel Policy and the Travel Card Manual. Questions should be directed to travel@fsu.edu.

Thank you for your attention to these policies and for helping us ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
