Attractive Items

University Property Policy 4-OP-D-2-F defines attractive/sensitive property as expendable items (cost less than $5,000) that are prone to theft because they are either portable, contain new technology, or are easily adaptable for personal use.

For more information and for an overview of best practices for departments to effectively identify and track attractive and sensitive property, please see the Best Practices Guide for Attractive Items document.

University policy directs departments to perform a risk assessment in order to identify and track attractive items. For assistance in performing this assessment, please see the Attractive Items Control Review document.
