FSU's cognizant agency, the United States Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), has finalized and approved the university’s fringe benefits pool rates for the 2024-2025 year.
These approved rates are available at https://budget.fsu.edu/benefitspool, including information on identifying which rates apply to which employees or earnings codes. These rates will be applied starting next week with the first payroll of FY25 (payroll A) and will also be applied to any retroactive pay or changes processed in 2024-2025.
This means that the first PAY journal of FY25 will be hitting newly created salary and wage expense accounts. Separately, a new nightly ‘PFB’ journal will begin posting next week to record fringe benefit expenses based on the above rates. Please also note that the salary reimbursement expense accounts will no longer be used in FY25 and going forward. Please note that the HR-GL Detail report in BI is being modified to reflect these changes; however, it is not anticipated that the revised report will be available until August.
