How Roundtrip Airfare Pricing Works in Lightning

Booking airfare for a future trip? Lightning handles initial round-trip pricing differently than Concur.

How Round-Trip Pricing Works

  1. Initial Cart Selection: When a traveler selects their outbound and return flights, Lightning initially totals them as two separate one-way fares. This initial estimate may appear higher than expected and higher than other booking sites.
  2. Click "Continue": Travelers should click Continue to move past the cart and trigger automatic repricing.
  3. Final Fare: On the Review and Reserve page, Lightning automatically recalculates the itinerary as a discounted round-trip ticket (when applicable) and displays the lower final price.
