The Controller’s Office is pleased to announce the launch of eMarkets powered by Transact. Transact is a payment solution which will allow departments to create, in conjunction with the Controllers’ Office, custom online storefronts for the collection of payments for goods and services via credit card. Transact eMarkets provide a centrally managed, university-approved payment platform that is free* to departments and compliant with PCI regulations, reducing the workload on departments while maintaining a safe and secure electronic commerce environment.
The Controller’s Office has piloted eMarkets with several departments on campus since March 2021 and is now opening the program for general access to any interested department.

*All online transactions carry service fees charged by credit card processors. While the use of Transact and the creation of an eMarket is free, departments will decide whether to cover credit card transaction fees on behalf of their clients, or pass those fees on to their customers.
